Hi I have a question on Adobe Captivate and I am a new learner here. Is it possible for teachers to have the option to upload lesson material or update quiz while on a published project?

Requires lots of custom programming as Lieve mentioned.

The answer is negative, unless you have a lot of experience with programming.

This is not specific for Captivate but for all rapid eLearning authoring tools. The normal workflow when you want to edit the content is:

  • Open the raw cptx file and edit it
  • Republish the file to HTML5, which is a folder with a specific structure containing all what is needed for the ‘website’ which is a published course. If you turn on Reporting under the quiz preferences, you end up with a zipped folder, called ‘SCO’, which added the necessary SCORM files to establish the understanding between the course and the LMS.
  • Re-upload the published output to replace the previous output.

If you accept it, here is a tip for quizzes: use the possibility to import either GIFT or CSV for questions. Editing and re-importing such a file is a lot easier than having to edit each individual quiz slide.
