Almost two years ago I posted this blog in the community:

Colors in Captivate – intro

As usual, a rather long post, and you may have bumped on terminology which is not familiar. Personally I have been teaching about colors in quite a lot of topics in my career. That explains why some terms may not be clarified sufficiently if you are new in this domain.

Adobe, as main provider of creative applications, now posted a real interesting ‘cheatsheet’ about colors, which I would like to recommend. Here is the direct link;

Understanding colors: a visual guide

You can skip when they talk about CMYK or RYB, because in Captivate you’ll only have to deal with RGB colors. Setting up not only a ‘nice’ but also an ‘efficient’ Theme colors palette for a Captivate is one of the first steps in my personal development workflow. Captivate allows for 10 main colors and adds 5 tints for each of those main colors, resulting in an extended palette of 60. It’s available in the Color dialog box.

You’re welcome. I often use Adobe Capture (mobile app) on my phone to start a color palette.
