I am looking for a java script in which you could make the forward button on the playbar (skin editor) jump to a specific slide instead of just the next slide

You posted this same question on the Adobe forums, and got answers which you didn’t acknowledge yet.

Both get to the same conclusion. Why not replace the playbar by custom navigation buttons? You can use buttons on the master slide or timed for the rest of the project to make the workflow easier. Anyway, if you keep a default playbar, the included progress bar is very confusing for a non-linear course, because each branching will cause it to show weird jumps, inexplicable. If you want to show a real progress which takes into account branching, you could have a look at one of two blog posts I wrote. Here is the link to the second post:

Remember – It is quite possible that they tried to post here first and it never showed up so they went to the other forum where they had faster results.

Why is that important? The answers in the Adobe forum have not yet been viewed neither.

Because I think it comes across a bit like scolding them for posting in both locations.

But you know full well that there have been times we post here and waited a week for that post to show up. So I am not going to fault anyone for going elsewhere when one place seems not to work.

While it is true that as of this post – the other forum has not yet seen a response from OP – so what?

People come for answers not to be lectured – especially when there is a chance of something like a double post that is due to one particular site not being moderated well and questions posted show up days later. For all the OP knew, the post was forever lost in cyberspace.

Look at the dates of posting, they always show up both here and on the Adobe forums.

I even posted an answer here as well. Although there is very little chance that the OP every returns to check for answers because they do not get automatic notifications. That is much worse on this forum than the lack of regular moderation. On the Adobe forum, the automatic notification is default, here you need to activate it and that is very cumbersome. I have been begging for more regular moderation and also for automatic notification since over 5 years.

Personally, I’m okay with people asking questions in both forums. The questions and answers we provide not only benefit the original poster but others looking for answers. These people looking for answers may not be aware of the other forum. In the time it takes you to complain about this issue you could have copied and pasted your answer here as well.
