Loading problems with LMS

Hello, I keep having the same issue with courses I upload to our LMS.  When I initially upload, I  can open the course and progress and complete, but when trying to re-enter the course it just continues to load and wont load again, unless I clear my suspend data.

I have tried using both Google Chrome and Windows Edge, but makes no difference what browser I or other learners use.  The current modules I am working on are tracked on slide visits only, yet I have the same problem when a quiz requires a pass, user will fail and be unable to get back into the module.  They all run fine in SCORM cloud on Captivate 2019.

Any thoughts on what is causing this?

Thanks, as I suspected that it would lie with the LMS, I have requested support from our provider, yet to hear back.  Other than checking a box to add the resource as an experience on completion, the LMS has no functionality visible to me that allows me to make changes on how the resource behaves.

That is a pity. Don’t forget to mention your testing on SCORM Cloud, because LMS people tend to blame the authoring tool instead of their platform. However SCORM Cloud is the recognized reference for SCORM features.

Thanks, I suspected this was the answer, I have contacted our LMS supplier, yet to here back.

The LMS has no inbuilt options to do with how the resource behaves.  I can choose the type of resource to upload, add metadata, make the course active/inactive, add a uniquereference, add it as an experience on completion, request user feedback as well as the fields below.

Course Type:
Resource Type…
SCORM
AICCHCAP
Self Certificated
Launch File:
Window Width:Window Height:

On a users profile, I can clear suspend data, which acts similar to clearing cache, this seems to allow the user to redo the learning, but in an organisation of 6000, it is not an ideal work around.

Karen, since it is functional on SCORM Cloud, your issues are most likely due to the setup in the LMS. Which rules are applied to the course? Does the LMS allow multiple attempts? Is the bookmarking working?

My recommendation would be to contact the IT people responsible for the maintenance of the LMS itself.

I agree with Lieve. SCORM Cloud is such an exemplary implementation of the SCORM standard that if an Adobe Captivate course works there without problems, it’s problem of the LMS you’re attempting to run the course on almost 100% of the time.
