What’s the best project type to add audio to a video?
Hello, everyone! I’m new to Captivate, and I need guidance.
First, can you recommend videos that will help me use Captivate as a newbie?
Second, I have a video that my tester created using Cypress. I need to add audio to the video. What kind of project would you suggest I create?
Thanks so much!
Cindy
While my videos are more designed to answer specific questions or challenges, I recommend you check out my YouTube channel: https://YouTube.com/CaptivateTeacher. I recommend that you subscribe and turn on notifications. Each week I produce a video about something related to Adobe Captivate.
Personal guidance would be the best way, since everyone has a history about learning and applications which should be taken into account.
There may be too many assets around, I agree. You can start with the ‘Learning Hub’ here which has already a lot on board. Look also in the Assets Library at the Quick Start Projects which you can personalize to your taste. Only practice helps to learn really as you probably know.
Since you ask only about video, which I suspect is passive video in YT style, I hesitate to point to a blog post which I wrote based on almost 15 years of coaching Captivate trainings and answering questions in all social media.

It is not a tutorial, just explaining shortly the stumbling blocks. I have written multiple articles (mostly with included published output) about those three topics. You’ll find the lists in this platform as: Timeline Resources, Quiz Resources, Theme Resources.
One tip: do NOT start creating responsive project, but master the basics of Captivate first using non-responsive projects. In the Welcome screen they are labeled as ‘Blank project’.
