Multiple Language Course in one Scorm Package
(1)

Hello,

I have an interactive course that I have in both English and Spanish created in Captive 2019.  Both courses have audio attached to them in the selected language.  I have them saved as separate scorm files but I want to be able to combine them and upload them to an LMS as one course that gives the user the option to select their preferred language.  I know you can package scorm files but I only want the user to be required to take the course in their preferred language and not have to complete both courses

Is there a way to combine the scorm files together into one file for upload and only require one module to be taken?  Is there a better way to create a multiple language course?

Thanks in advance

I already answered a similar question, but not sure if it was in this platform, because often it takes quite a long time before answers appear.

It depends on the size of the course but it is possible to copy/paste them into one project, provided you activate the option ‘Branch aware’ in the Preferenves for Quizzes. That will result in having dynamic quizzing system variables. This means that the score will only be calculated from the part taken by the learner, not on all scored objects in the course (as you can seen the Total score in the Advanced Interaction panel).

Of course you need to offer the learner the choice at the beginning, and store that choice in a user variable. You will need to take out the default playbar and set up custom navigation. This will avoid that the learner is going to slides which are not in his part. You can find a blog post, with an example output, in this platform where I offer the choice between 3 languages. Have a look at:
