Is there a way to get live chat support with an Adobe Captivate 2019 file? I need help troubleshooting a few issues with quizzes. 1. The course won’t allow them to select the wrong answer lol. I created a few knowledge checks in the training.  2. I want to make sure that the end of course quiz assessment resets when they fail.

Thanks.

Hi RamonaISD,

You may contact Captivate support team directly via phone (+1-800-833-6687) or chat (https://adobe.com/getsupport) for immediate assistance. Alternatively, please send an e-mail with your query to tcssup@adobe.com or CaptivateHelp@adobe.com so we can assist.

Just some tips (I have about 40 articles on my blog about quizzes in Captivate).

Of course to give you better help (I am not working for Adobe), it is important to understand your problems. First of all the version you are using is important, is this version 12 or not? Previous versions have all the same structure for quizzes and Knowledge Check slides.

You mention Knowledge Check slides, but in Captivate’s terminology those slides do not get a score, they are not part of a real assessment.  I suppose you are talking about normal quiz slides, since you mention failure for the assessment. I described the difference between KC and quiz slides for versions before 12 in this blog post, but the general idea is the same for version 12:

https://blog.lilybiri.com/knowledge-check-slides-tips

You want the answers to reset when the learner fails a quiz? Situation when learner remains in the same session: In that case you need to allow more than 1 attempt on quiz level and show the Retake button (stack it on top of the Review button in versions before 12). Check the action on Failure. The learner needs to click the Retake button, all answers will be reset and all system quizzing variables as well. Like a clean slate, learner can retake the assessment. Most of this setup can be done in the Quiz Preferences. I cannot explain more in detail or provide you more links to posts if I don’t know the version you are using.
