Hi! I want to create some courses about Photoshop (and others) and integrate them in my website, here for example: https://sin-opacity.com/photoshop but I don’t know if it’s possible to host Captivate on my website? I mean having the same domain name. And is it possible to restrict access to certain users?
I’m sorry if the question has already been asked, I’m new here. Thanks a lot!

There are plugins for WordPress which will allow you to control access to particular pages. So, you could create a page for each lesson (perhaps using Lieve’s embed approach) and then sell access to the pages. Even out of the box, WordPress has the ability to password-protect pages, but it’s fairly primitive, won’t scale, and doesn’t include any payment processing functionality, which you’ll likely also need. But it can be done in WordPress. I wish I could recommend particular plugins, but I haven’t evaluated any yet. I’m just aware of them from previous research.

I typically upload the entire published folder to a web server first. Then link or embed to the index.html. Allowing only paid subscribers would be more of a function of your website tools.

What you describe in your question sounds an awful lot like a learning management system with an e-commerce solution allowing paid users access. I’m a big believer in using the right tool for the job. Certainly, if you are technically minded, you can build all this stuff yourself, but solutions to this problem are available from just about any LMS vendor.

On my blog (it is not WordPress) I embed output of Captivate courses all the time by inserting them in to an iFrame. Here is an example:

https://blog.lilybiri.com/bookmarking-in-captivate-classic-and-new-introduction

I used this html code:

<iframe src=”https://www.lilybiri.com/published/bookmark/index.html” width=”800″ height=”490″></iframe>
