We recommend that you navigate to the Update page to learn more about the update and download the required update. We have also fixed the issue of previewing/publishing on a Mac in the new update.

Problem:

When previewing or publishing your courses in HTML5, it fails to load.

Pre-requisites:

You must have Captivate (2017 release) version 10.0.0.192 installed on your computer.

To check the version, click Adobe Captivate > About Adobe Captivate.

Solution:

To fix this issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Close all Captivate instances that are opened on your system.
  1. Download the hotfix for MAC from the following location: CaptivatePatch2017
  1. Unzip the file.
  1. Run the AdobeCaptivate-2017-0-1-Update_upd.dmg file.
  1. Launch Captivate and verify.

Wow, this is really lame.  I don’t see how Adobe expects users to use Captivate if they can’t publish.

I downloaded the patch, installed it and restarted my machine again. However no success yet. I am still not able to preview the HTML5 non-responsive course in browser.
