I was wondering if I could get some guidance. We created a skin theme and saved it. It shows up in the folder with the other themes:
C:Userspaul.luriAppDataLocalAdobeCaptivate 10.0Themes, yet my other captivate files see the default themes in the folder but my theme I created is not showing up.
Skins gives you a button to save the theme, how do you get other files to recognize the theme?
Maybe you could read my blog post about themes:

I recommend never to save a custom theme (think you are talking about a custom theme, because the skin is only one small component) in the same ‘Layouts’ folder as the default themes. I am now speaking about the duplicate folder in Public Documents (for Windows), not about the oiriginal folder in the installations folder. Reason: troubleshooting can require to delete that duplicate folder and you would lose your custom themes, while the default thems will be restored from the original ones.
A theme doesn’t appear as a thumbnail because you post it in a folder. To find a cusytom gtheme, use the Browse button in the Themes dialog box. Once you have located and used it, it will appear as a thumbnail.
Actually we were using Skin Editor and when you edit them you have the ability to save them. We were using old files from 9 and when first loaded they were not being recognized but after saving them as 10 and restarting the program it worked. Thought I did that but I must have forgot the first try for anything on the computer, restart the program.
Skin is part of the theme. And you better save a theme always in the version you are using. Unless you only change the skin, no object styles, no default colors (Color Palette), not master slides it is much better to save the theme as a custom theme. Many versions ago each item had to be saved separately and imported that way, but since 6 all is in the theme.
