I’ve grouped several layers into a menu. When I want to show one group and hide another, the screen ‘blinks’ during the toggle. Is there a way to fix this?
I am aware of the fact that I didn’t address the question of seamlessly transitioning. But to my experience, simplifying the design by getting rid of exra objects often solves that problem. Hyperlinks are indeed much less known for their dropdown list of commands, discovered them also only due to my continuous exploring of new workflows.
Really have problems with your terminology. If you use a rectangular shape why do you not use it to put the text in it, instead of having another object on top of that shape? Moreover that same rectangular shape can be used as a button by checking the option ‘Use as a button’. Why would you need a group of three objects when you can do it with one?
Because I’m using it as a menu. So, yes, I agree that I can put the text on the rectangle (Smart Shape) but I need to use more than one transparent button for the menu items. So tell me how one shape is used as a button when it needs to be linked to three different slides? I need transparent buttons to achieve this. In addition there are icons next to each of the menu items so, again, other items that are part of the shape’s grouping. See attached image.
Why not use hyperlinks in that case? Have a look at:

I don’t mean objects. I mean I have a smart object rectangle. Then on top of that is text. On top of that is a button. These are all grouped. Then I have another similar group. I’m trying to toggle between them but when that happens there is a slight disappearance of the group so it is creating this ‘blinking’ effect.
