My images look fine on desktop but not when sized down for devices.

I am in a responsive project using fluid boxes, if that matters. Can someone help?

I have a PC with the recommended 1366 x 768 resolution and I use Snag-it to capture my screenshots. (I am doing software training eLearning courses.) I usually have 3 vertical fluid boxes with the top one as my title, the bottom one for navigation and the middle one for the image.

Talking with Support, they say I must use SVG images and that would put a whole new step into this — I would have to take a screenshot, put it in some other conversion software, then upload that SVG. I actually tried it on a few images, but a) some of the conversion software didn’t result in a good SVG; and b – the image still didn’t look much clearer.

I’m getting worn out with this … hopefully you can give me some advice – I will start the project completely over and do it any way that would work!

(Thanks)

Have no idea why they recommended SVG, which are vector based images. I use Illustrator to do the conversion, not every bitmap image results in a good SVG.

Are you use to need a responsive project? If you only have three fluid boxes as described, you probably could do exactly the same with a rescalable HTML project and get rid of the Fluid Boxes limitations. Do you not need to add other objects on topo of the images? That will not be possible in a normal fluid box.

The limitation of a rescalable HTML project is that it should always be viewed in landscape mode.

How did you create the images, which format and resolution? How is the setup of the fluid box in which you inserted it, and its parent fluid box?
