Do widgets work when publishing to HTML5 only?

I’d like to add widgets to my Captivate 2019 project, but we publish only to HTML5 (not swf) and our content must be accessible to our customers on all major browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox).

Since Flash is going away and not all users/browsers have it anyway, can I still use widgets? Is there a way to use them with HTML5 or is Flash always required?

If it depends on which widget is being used, this is regarding the accordion widget, but I’d still like to know if other widgets could be used.

Thanks!

Is it possible to check it out in a webserver as well? Which browser do you use, did you try another browser? Can you check the On Enter event, is it not set to Pause?  Each static learning interaction needs to have an interactive object with a pausing point to allow the learner to take time to explore it. But some developers wrongly think that Pause On Enter (look at the QSPs, lot of slides have that misunderstanding) will do the trick. However it will just prevent anything from happening, in this case loading of the interaction with its content.

Were the answers detailed enough? I never got any feedback from you.

Do you still have issues or was the problem solved?

Sorry to explain some terminology. The widgets (from the widgets Gallery) are compatible only with SWF output. However the Learning Interactions are compatible with HTML5. Confusing is the fact that those Learning Interactions also have the extension wdgt and are sometimes also indicated as widget. Learning Interactions are under the Big button Interactions.

I use them all the time, and do only publish to HTML5 since 3 years when the end of Flash Player was announced.

It is possible that you will need to publish and upload to a LMS or webserver to see their full functionality. But you’ll find several blog posts I wrote about learning interactions, for HTML output.

I only publish to HTML5 and I added a Tab learning interaction. The tabbed learning interaction is blank when uploaded to the LMS. Other learning interactions work, just not this one. It is disappointing becaue I don’t know how to recreate this and it is a lot of information. Any help on this would be appreciated.
