360 File Insert Error Message

I have had success in the past few weeks importing 360 videos ( MP4) generated with Samsung Gear360. Now, however, when I try to insert a file I get this message:

The video you have selected is not a Flash file. Adobe Captivate will convert it to FLV or F4V format using AdobeMedia Encoder (AME). The path of the converted file will be:

When I agree to have AME convert the file it never completes the file conversion, left it on all night once just to be sure.

Why would it now say that it cannot import the file, I thought Flash was no longer used by Captivate.  Any thoughts much appreciated!

Cheers,

Ira Bray

Flash player (not the same as Flash which was an app, now renamed to Animate) is still used in the present version of Captivate because tons of SWF output is still everywhere on LMSs. Moreover for non-responsive projects all Preview methods except F11 use a temporary SWF output.

Did you import the video using the big button on the 360 slide? You cannot import it like a normal video from the Video big button or the Video menu.
