The quarter system makes no sense to me if things aren’t given out by quarter.

I just wanted to report back that I reached out to Avranil who was very helpful (Thank you!!).  I’ve got my Captivate license now and am excited to start using the new version.

Couple of questions:

  1. I’m still a little confused about the process.  It sounded like, from the post from a couple of years ago, that each quarter emails are sent out with the information automatically. Is that still the case or do we need to individually email Avranil every time to get the reward?  Or just the first time?
  2. Is there a limit to how many times you can earn the one year license?  So, for example, I just earned it so I’ll have access until December of 2021, presumably.  If I earn 1000 points again next year, will I be able to get another 12 months of free access?

Thanks again!

Congrats! I got 12 months and was thrilled! To answer your question, I’m not sure that it’s automatic…I had to reach out to support too (and for 12 free months, it’s worth it IMO) and as far as the limit…well, the terms say the program can change at anytime, so it’s possible you may or may not get another 12 months, but at each time you reach a level the points needed for a 365 period resets.

“Remember, each time you attain a new level, your current points are reset, and your calendar year starts (i.e. 365 days) then, to move to the next level. If you are unable to score enough points to get upgraded to next level, your level will change corresponding to the points you acquired in your last calendar year.”

To better answer your question, check out the section titled Yearly Points Information at https://elearning.adobe.com/levels/

I agree!  Totally worth it!

I’ve read that Yearly Points Information a few times and I’m still confused.  I think it’s probably one of those “I’ll have to see it/experience it to get it” kind of things… 🙂
