Double check the reset and retake settings under quiz preferences

I have problems with the terminology, which is not unusual,  feel not insulted please. Here is the explanation for my confusion:

1. A Knowledge Check slide is normally not scored by default. It is reset immediately after leaving the KC slide. That is not only valid for the question slides which you insert with Quiz, Knowledge Check slide, but also for a Drag&Drop slide which is set up as a Knowledge Check slide. No system variables are linked to those slides, which means no score is every shown.
2. If you talk about normal Quiz slides instead of Knowledge Check slides, it is perfectly possible to give the learner multiple attempts on Quiz level besides multiple attempts on question level. In that case, on failure of the total quiz, the learner can retake the quiz by using the Retake button on the results slide, which you need to make visible under Quiz Preferences, where you also set the multiple attempts on quiz level.
