Good Day,
I have been an administrative for my organization’s instance of Topyx LMS from Interactyx. I was hoping to connect with others on this platform that use Captivate to author content for their instance of this specific LMS to see if we can share best practices with one another to help with user experience.
A few examples of the topics I am interested in discussing with other Topyx LMS administrators. This list is by no means exhaustive:
- Captivate Project Settings
- Special coding considerations
- Example #1: Direct the LMS to unlock the navigation of modules when users have previous completed them.)
- Example #2: Directing the module’s tab to override browser cache so course progress always gets captured correctly within the LMS.
Promised link to disable Bookmarking by TOC:
Remove the “Continue from where you stopped last time?” screen when no LMS – eLearning (adobe.com)
Sorry to pop in, because I am not familiar with the LMS you are using and cannot help with very specific questions. Moreover I am not sure this is the best location to search for them, did you also try the existing Adobe Captivate forum? You may reach more people there, here is the link:
You only need an Adobe ID, which you also have for this platform.
About your second question, you may have a look at a thread here where I explained in steps how to disable the Self-paced learning in the TOC which is often activated by default. That is a way of bookmarking which could be in conflict with bookmarking by TOC. I will post that link in separate comment.
For your first question: that has to be done in the LMS, Captivate cannot manage this AFAIK.
Know also that a good way to test a Captivate course is to upload it to the standard LMS which is SCORM Cloud. It can even be done as Preview from within Captivate. If it works fine in SCORM Cloud but not in your LMS, the reason for the problems has to be found in the LMS, not in Captivate.
I don’t know what you mean by ‘Project Settings’. In Captivate setting up a SCO is possible by activating Reporting in the Quiz Preferences. That is possible even if there is no quiz. Some LMSs also allow to upload a zipped package and instruct the LMS to unzip and launch the index.html file.
