Hi there! I need your views on whether the new Adobe Captivate is easier to use compared to the previous one. I mean, learning Captivate was always on my cards, but now I am unable to decide which version to explore. Help appreciated.
Before answering this question, I am interested to know what kind of courses you plan to develop. Each one has its own set of use cases. While Captivate Classic is a legacy tool with VR capabilities, the new Adobe Captivate is a by-default responsive tool. Both can be used to build advanced courses.
I would suggest you explore the new Adobe Captivate to start with. It has a quick learning curve with a user-friendly and intuitive interface, suitable for both beginners and experts. It will be simple for you to build your projects using features like preset design options, Quick Start Projects, and readymade interactive widgets.
I have extensively worked on Adobe Captivate Classic (2019) and have always liked working with it. Recently I explored the new version and found it easier to use compared to the 2019 version. Just that both are drastically different, so a lot of unlearning needs to happen for me to start using the new Adobe Captivate.
Did you ever use Rise or StoryLine? Learning curve for Storyline is higher but it can do a lot more than Rise. New Captivate can be compared to Rise, Captivate Classic to StoryLine.
Or did you ever use a word processor compared aith a desktop publisher? First can be compared with New Captivate, second with Classic Captivate.
