I am working on developing a long scroll course in Adobe Captivate. I want to add the questions between the long scroll course to assess the learners’ knowledge using question templates. How can I do this in the new Adobe Captivate?
Adobe Captivate does not allow you to add prebuilt question templates in between other blocks or widgets on the same slide. The question template slide will also not allow you to add any other blocks or widgets to it. You can include the question slide as a separate slide but not within the long scroll slide. I recommend you do either of the two ways. First, do not use the ready-made question template listed under the “Add New Slide” option (the blue plus sign). Instead, create custom questions using interactive components such as radio group, checkbox, dropdown, input field, and buttons. Second, if you want to use the ready-made question template, divide your long scroll course into multiple objectives and create a separate branch for each of the objectives. Use branching scenarios and conditions to navigate to the question slides, which will only be at the end of the course.
For any question, graded or Knowledge Check, you need to use the question slide templates. Contrary to the content slide templates, those question slide templates are not meant to have infinite scrollabillity. You may use bookmarks as event triggers to jump to those knowledge check/question slides. Beware: question slides no longer have the possibility to use the On Enter event as trigger, if you need more set up it needs to be done in the previous slide.
