I am wanting to create a captivate project to import into Moodle via a SCORM package. the graphic look and feel will look similar to the image below – I am in the process of acquiring captivate but would like a reduced cost – any suggestions and is the look below possible?

Thanks all for the comments. I will continue to try working with Captivate and tweaking the design. Right now I’m using the trial version, if all works as plan hope to purchase the ed version or maybe I will have enough posts, etc to get 3 mos free.

May I recommend one of my blogs in this portal?

The fourth one would be Fluid Boxes if responsive projects are important for you. They are represented wrongly as being very easy.

Agree with Todd!  If you just accrue points here in the elearning forum, you can get the product for free 🙂

The look you want is straight forward though the section course completion gauge, will need a bit more work. Unless e-learning Bros has something already done. Captivate on a subscription is quite reasonable in comparison to other authoring tools.

Pretty easy in Captivate.

If you are in education you can buy an education license. That is a perpetual license, when an upgrade is released you’ll not be able to upgrade at a lower price, you need to buy a new version. Subscription licenses are better in that way.

However I strongly recommend that you download the trial version which is – contrary to other Adobe apps – fully functional for 30 days (other apps is 7 days). You can test it out your self to see if this is the tool you want.

If you contribute a few articles or recommendations to the community you can get captivate free for 3 months.

The look is possible, but as usual there will be considerations such as what devices you will use and how the page will look on each device.  Designing on paper is good but generly needs a lot of tweaking to get what you need.
