The Captivate 9.0.2 Update adds insane speed and performance enhancements

I have been working for a while now with the Adobe Captivate engineering team and several customers on a project that should be nicknamed, Project Light Speed. This is a project that normally wouldn’t garner much focus, because the focus of the project was to optimize performance of the Captivate Projects playback on mobile devices, on desktops, and even within the authoring tool. I know – that doesn’t sound all that glamorous at first pass, but I want you to think about […]

How to set up a 508-compliant project?

1.In an open project that you want to publish as 508-compliant, select Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Captivate > Preferences (Mac OS). 2.In the Category panel, expand Project, and select Publish Settings. 3.Select Enable Accessibility in the Project panel. For detailed information on creating 508-compliant projects, see Creating accessible projects in Adobe Captivate.

What Does Captivate do to be Section 508 Compliant?

Enabling 508 Compliance makes certain elements in Adobe Captivate projects accessible or open to accessibility technology. For example, if 508 Compliance is enabled, and you have filled in the project name and project description text boxes in Project preferences, a screen reader will read the name and description when the Adobe Captivate SWF file is played. The following Adobe Captivate elements are accessible when 508 Compliance is enabled: ´Project name (derived from Project Properties) ´Project description (derived from Project Properties) ´Slide […]
