Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]
Hi, Can someone recommend JavaScript, HTML and CSS books for beginners that would be a best fit for Adobe Captivate? I keep researching but do not find anything in particular. However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
Hi all! I’m having a huge problem with branching. I have a project with 2 branches for different personnel which are selected on a menu slide with buttons that jump to the section of the project that applies to the personnel. The content is a series of software simulations with click boxes to test users’ knowledge of the software. The interactions are scored and are added to the quiz totals. Without Branching, the project runs and scores all points. However, […]
I am disappointed that I no longer have access to my Adobe Knowhow content that I paid for. I am not the only one having these issues. We were promised a means of continued access to our content after purchasing a lifetime access product and have not received a link. Can somebody please help Thank you
I posted this to the “Bug” page, but wanted to see if anyone else is having a similar issue. The “Style Name” drop-down appears to be limited with regard to how manipulating margins. Ideally, we should be able to get the margins to adjust as well, since this is something that I find myself styling, quite often. Adjusting the margins manually is time-consuming and almost defeats the purpose of having the “Style Name”. Isn’t the “Style Name” drop-down essentially functioning […]
Hi all! I have a Captivate 2019, latest version issue. I have a software assessment project with two “tracks” with assessment slides that I’ve grouped together to make 2 different groups. I’ve created the branching by using 2 buttons that jump to the appropriate “branch” in the project. Buttons and Groups are named exactly the same. I need the quizzing points to be calculated by branch – so that 80% will be passing on the individual branches, and the user […]
Hi, I am brand new to Captivate and am creating a simulation eLearning along with some opening slides. When I view my project in HTML, I can not see the whole slide on my computer screen. I have to scroll up or down to see the top or bottom of the slide. My graphics all fit within the white rectangle area of the slide when I built them. I have tried the rescale section but it distorts my grapics. Any […]
OK, so I’m reviewing modules I just published to our LMS. I’m encountering an odd error. I have the slides set up with my own playback controls as opposed utilizing the LMS playbar. Therefore the slides obviously pause until the learner clicks the “Next” button. The error I’m encountering is the narration sound file for the next slide starts playing spontaneously even though the learner has not advanced the presentation. To further complicate things, it doesn’t happen every time. I’ve […]
