Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
When you initially open the All-New Adobe Captivate, you might well notice a dark green course built right into the launch page. It looks like this: This is a great introduction to the All-New Adobe Captivate. It’s extremely well done, and it focuses on the narrow set of features that establish the paradigm (or the rules) for how to interact with virtually everything that follows. So if you have been wondering how to get started – and how to make […]
Okay, so if there are now two versions of Adobe Captivate, and both are new / updated, how do I know which one to use in which circumstance? With the most recent release of Adobe Captivate – two versions were introduced by Adobe. One of them is technically version 11.8.2 (Adobe Captivate Classic) and the other one is version 12.0.0. (the All-New Adobe Captivate.) You might have noticed that I did a video to compare the two of them here: […]
In this video, I show you how to navigate the Theme Builder for the All-New Adobe Captivate and create your own theme for the All-New Adobe Captivate (version 12). If you need to identify fonts on a company website, use the WhatFont Chrome extension. I also use the Microsoft PowerToys Color Picker tool for determining colors from a company website.
In this video, I share my review of Enterprise LMS with Adobe Learning Manager, a new book by Damien Bruyndonckx.
A viewer of my YouTube channel asked me: I was wondering if you had any thoughts on how the new Captivate compares to Rise 360? Here is my response: Adobe has found an excellent combination of features between what Adobe Captivate was and what it could become. Rise 360 has had a few years to refine itself and become a robust solution, while Adobe Captivate 12 is a brand-new piece of software with many revisions required before all the features […]

On slides there is the option to create questions with a short answer without using the quiz or KC function. I want to create my own so that I can add a yes or no check box. Where do I find the written in responses within Adobe’s LMS? It won’t be under quiz. Is there a spreadsheet with the answers? How do I access it? Thanks!
The enable navigation feature in Captivate under the TOC settings is not working.
