What are eLearning Devs and IDs reading?

Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from.  I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Multiple Failure messages for Drag&Drop KC slide

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action.  I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]

Drag and drop – actions in case of wrong answers

Hi, I am building ‘drag and drop’ action. In case of correct answer everything works great.  But in case of wrong answer nothing happens (only failure information appears). I have tested many options as ‘Return to Quiz’ or ‘Continue’ but they don’t work. User can’t redrag the dropped sources because in my case drag sources ‘disappear’ in boxes (drop targets). So my ideal solution in case of wrong answer is to display the slide from the beginning (show all elements). […]

Start Screen Image Not Appearing in Chrome

HI All! I’m hoping someone can help me with a Start Screen issue I’m experiencing. I’ve added an image to the start screen so it’s not just the blank gray one. When I publish it, though, it does not appear on Chrome unless I refresh the page. It appears on Firefox no problem. I’ve tested both scorm and non-reporting. Has this happened to anyone else? Any insights?

Hello, is there a way to use Descript’s Overdub Voice as a voice within Captivate? Or must I make the text to speech in Descript and then import into Captivate? Thanks for your time.

Captivate Software Simulation Text Entry Issue

I’m using Captivate 2019 (11.8.0.586) for Windows. I have recorded a software simulation that includes text entry. When previewing the project, there are no issues, but once it is published and played back, tiny blue lines appear between each character in the text entry slides. How do I get rid of this? I’ve never had this happen with previous versions of Captivate. I’ve attached an image with an example of what I’m seeing.

LINK TO CP FROM EXTERNAL URL?

Hello, I am trying to jump to different pages in a quiz from an external URL. Is there a way to achieve this? When I publish it online, it only has the index.html page and not individual slides to link to. Thanks
