Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
Hello, I want to create my own set of layouts in my master pages but cannot use percentages. If I create a blank project that is 1920 x 1080 and add a content slide that I apply the Content01 master page to it has an image placeholder that is 1918 x 407. If I create another blank project that is 1367 x 1011 (so completely custom, not a size that is going to have a default layout size) create a […]
Playing with Adobe Captivate. This is a quick test to see if the platform is conducive to our curriculum. It took me about 20 minutes to put this together, but I had to figure how to add the images and try some really basic tools. I’ll say that it should be as easy as PPT after about a week of using it (Captivate seems rather intuitive).
Captivate 2019, Windows 10, HTML5 output only. Have a Text Entry Box with the Enter key as a shortcut. Would like to execute a JavaScript function when the user presses the Enter key. It is possible to do so when the answer is correct (on success), but need to be able to execute it when the answer is incorrect as well. The JavaScript evaluates whether the answer is correct or not and then shows/hides several assets on screen accordingly. Need […]
What Is Virtual Training? Virtual Training shouldn’t be confused with online training or distance learning. L&D professionals deliver Virtual Training using simulated learning environments. Instructors and learners connect remotely, and training occurs using a combination of these sessions and self-paced trainings that leverage strategies, such as Simulation, Gamification, 3D, Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented VR. However, the prevailing trend to transition to Virtual Training is a journey, where the elements of training gradually shift from primarily Instructor-Led Training (ILT) to […]
