I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
I’ve been thinking lately about community. Thinking about eLearning community, about the Captivate community, sure… but also about all sorts of communities. Do I really know what community is? Could I poke it with a stick if I saw it? I’m originally from Wyoming. I mean that I was born in Wyoming. For those of you in the broader world, Wyoming is a rural state in the US known for its deep roots in the American West. With nostalgic links […]
We’re happy to announce the winners of our Scenario Training contest! We had some great entries and also significant interest from the community. The entries received close to 10,000 Facebook ‘Likes’. The people’s choice award goes to Steve Shatkin, for his entry ‘Some tips to make you a better poker player’. Steve has definitely inspired me to try and create another scenario training on Poker tips, possibly playing out each scenario even when a user makes a wrong choice- thus […]
There are different ways of adding audio to an eLearning project in Adobe Captivate 5.5 and one of the ways is to convert Text to Audio with the powerful functionality of Text-to-Speech in Adobe Captivate. As I was thinking about it, a thread in LinkedIn drew my attention, that talked about creating Text-to-Speech audio and then reusing that audio in a different project. Leslie Bivens, an Adobe Captivate Expert, has added her comments with a solution and I thought of creating a […]

Let me take few minutes of your precious time to explain how I went about doing this.

In Part 1 of this blog series, I shared my experience about the content acquisition and analysis phase for creating a scenario-based course. In Part 2, I shared how I created a storyline and identified the critical steps in it and further started storyboarding and shared the introduction screen with you. When storyboarding for this course, the single most important thing for me was to keep it conversational and follow the actual lingo that the customer care representatives are supposed […]
