Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]
Hi, Can someone recommend JavaScript, HTML and CSS books for beginners that would be a best fit for Adobe Captivate? I keep researching but do not find anything in particular. However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
I’m working on a project for an upcoming project that uses fluid box responsive design and drag and drop interaction. It works as expected on a Samsung S7 phone, an iPhone 8 Plus, and on Desktop, but due to the fact that the Safari browser on the current version of iPadOS uses swiping up and swiping to refresh the page, drag and drop doesn’t function at all. I’m running Adobe Captivate 11.5.1.499 on a Windows 10 PC with all browsers […]
I did a screen capture, but didn`t choose the frame right. The result is, that I have some content at the right side, I don`t want to show. Is it possible to cut this content at all slides at the same time? How can I do it?
I am running into an issue where I publish some content with 360 slides in HTML5 with the Scalable HTML Content box checked in Captivate 2019. The 360 slides play fine, but if I maximize the content window and try to click a hotspot in the 360 slide space, there is no action that takes place; it responds as if I am clicking anywhere else in the slide. When I restore the content window to the size it was when […]
E-learning has been around for a long time now to make it an established channel of training and education. It supplements traditional methods of education along with being a great tool for training on-the-job. It does however face the challenge of having to deliver a hefty syllabus. With the motivation to complete these courses being very low, dropout rates are high. This not only defeats the purpose of these platforms but also wastes the resources that have been invested to build it. Experts in the field of e-learning have been able to counter this problem with micro-learning.
Micro-learning is a highly focused method of e-learning which emphasizes on concepts or ideas by delivering them in bite sized learning nuggets. Although micro-learning is not a new concept (flash cards being a traditional example), it has certainly been reinvented by making it go digital. With micro-learning, information can be delivered not just via text but also through video, audio, interactive games, infographics and such. A highly mobile form of learning, it is smartphone compatible. Our short attention span seems to have made micro-learning all the more relevant.
The need for Sales training to equip sales teams so that they can achieve targets is higher than ever today. As we know, without effective sales teams, even the best of the business plans will go awry. To succeed, organizations need to offer Sales training that is highly focused and is well aligned to help meet their business plan. Mobile Learning is a highly effective approach to offer Sales training and meet these objectives. Take a look at this Infographic, […]
I have built drag and drops and not had this problem before. Why can’t I get the success message to come up when I answer correctly? ONlY failure shows every time.
