Let us take a deep breath first! If we have overused our superlatives in describing any previous contests on this forum, we will like to take it back, and place it here, as what we have witness in these last few weeks on elearning.adobe.com/projects page was nothing short of a phenomenon. Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]
Hi, Can someone recommend JavaScript, HTML and CSS books for beginners that would be a best fit for Adobe Captivate? I keep researching but do not find anything in particular. However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
Hello, I have created a responsive project based on examples given in “Assets” and download. In Adobe Captivate, it is always shown with default size (1024*627) and looks great, but when I preview it in a browser, size is changed depending on browsing area, and render is bad (picture overlap, some objects disappear or are partially visible…). I know that the scaling is a basis of the responsive project, but is it possible to “fix” the size of a responsive […]
Retain State on Slide Revisit in Adobe Captivate
Good Day, I have been an administrative for my organization’s instance of Topyx LMS from Interactyx. I was hoping to connect with others on this platform that use Captivate to author content for their instance of this specific LMS to see if we can share best practices with one another to help with user experience. A few examples of the topics I am interested in discussing with other Topyx LMS administrators. This list is by no means exhaustive: Captivate Project […]
Anyone knows how to shut off system audio only, clicks and such, without muting my narrations, on already existing lessons, not new ones thanks Bassam
For anyone whose work involves presenting data, understanding the art and science of data storytelling is key to communicating your insights.
Hi, I am building ‘drag and drop’ action. In case of correct answer everything works great. But in case of wrong answer nothing happens (only failure information appears). I have tested many options as ‘Return to Quiz’ or ‘Continue’ but they don’t work. User can’t redrag the dropped sources because in my case drag sources ‘disappear’ in boxes (drop targets). So my ideal solution in case of wrong answer is to display the slide from the beginning (show all elements). […]
In this video, I show you how to create a custom checkbox in Adobe Captivate. Free download members can download this project file. They will find it in my YouTube channel’s Community or Membership tab.
Hi there So here is what I would like to do. My firm is doing software training and we’d like to have a picture in picture walking users thru steps with the PIP always showing. How could I create a template where the left side of the screen top to bottom is a spot to always show the PIP. The right side of the screen is the content showing mouse clicks etc. Thoughts? Allen
HI All! I’m hoping someone can help me with a Start Screen issue I’m experiencing. I’ve added an image to the start screen so it’s not just the blank gray one. When I publish it, though, it does not appear on Chrome unless I refresh the page. It appears on Firefox no problem. I’ve tested both scorm and non-reporting. Has this happened to anyone else? Any insights?
