Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
In short, I have created the same type of training video hundreds of times. But today, something is off and I can’t quite figure out what the problem is or what is wrong. I create the course in captivate and I publish to HTML and upload to an LMS. Starting today, everything in the course is fine EXCEPT for the slides created from PowerPoint – those appear blank. the audio plays, the course progresses normally… but the slides are white (blank) until we get to the software demonstration video. Then it shows the video playing.

Workplace learning was one of the earliest and hardest-hit industries by the coronavirus pandemic, according to a recent piece by McKinsey. Several months into the crisis, many organizations have set up online learning tools as a substitute for those person-to-person interactions. But what happens as travel picks up again and in-person learning becomes an opportunity once more? For many, the crisis only accelerated a trend that was already underway. LinkedIn Learning’s 2020 Workplace Learning Report notes that learning and development budgets have been […]

Hi, I am wondering if there is a new version of Adobe Captivate coming soon? I would love features like Layers for popup info and pausing page audio when on a new layer like Articulate Storyline offers. Also better Accessibility features like Storyline has. For example easily turning off screen readers access to certain items, Built-in Quiz functions that are accessible, and triggers. Thanks, Russ
This is a summary project to see if I can embed e-learning captivate projects into a Google site.
Hi! I am looking for a way to come back to a slide with sound without having to listen to this sound a 2nd time. Another option would be to come back to a previous slide at the middle of the timeline. Is there a way to do that? Thanks to all Marie
I am creating a VR orientation program in Captivate based on how escape rooms work. I want to have a virtual lock that would need to be solved in order to progress to the next slide. I have been playing in Captivate with VR and I have only been able to insert multiple choice or true/false questions. Ideally, I’d like to be able to set a question in which a user has to enter a three-digit code correctly, or a […]
