Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]
Hi, Can someone recommend JavaScript, HTML and CSS books for beginners that would be a best fit for Adobe Captivate? I keep researching but do not find anything in particular. However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
I am using captivate 2019 and creating a responsive project. When I add animations to text like fly in from right or left, it plays well in inside preview but when I do project preview or slide review as whole it doesn’t work. Please suggest
Custom eLearning courses can be built with varying strategies. One strategy that I have seen working is active learning, where we use a variety of interactivities to keep the learner engaged and hooked to the content. I will explore the same in this blog.
Organizations usually either look for new approaches to training or adopt better approaches so that they can keep learners engaged, ensure knowledge acquisition happens, facilitate the application of the acquired learning on the job, the desired performance gain and ROI occurs, and a positive ROI on the training spend is established. In order to enhance their training deliveries, organizations are on the lookout for eLearning trends that can help them gain maximum returns in the best possible way. The following […]
Hello all I don’t know if i am going mad, but i am pretty sure that in the past, i was able to add blank slides to the beginning of my software simulation, but I am no longer able to do so. I am also pretty sure that i could shuffle slides up and down in the filmstrip, but again, I am unable to do so as of a few days ago. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Hi, I created a simulation and the command boxes all work except for the attached screen. Does anyone see anything in the screen shot that would inhibit the action command from working? I can’t figure it out. Thanks
In this video tutorial, I show you my process for getting rid of unused variables in my Adobe Captivate eLearning projects.
In this segment from my last live stream, I show you how to find and delete unused advanced actions from your Adobe Captivate eLearning project.
This video clip from my last live stream shows you what I do to optimize my images for my Adobe Captivate eLearning using. Photoshop or whatever image editing software you use.
I’ve generated scorm files out of Captivate and loaded them into the LMS, LearnDot. The content plays but when I close it I get an error. LearnDot tells me there’s a problem with the scorm file, but I seen no errors to indicate where to begin. I’ve tested on ScormCloud and I don’t see any errors there, either. How do I open the black box?
Hi, I have added Continue buttons to my project so the user stays on the same slide until pressing the button. This works fine but the user can progress to the next screen clicking anywhere on the slide as well as the button. How do I prevent this from happening please? Thanks Tom
