What are eLearning Devs and IDs reading?

Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from.  I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Multiple Failure messages for Drag&Drop KC slide

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action.  I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]

Changing fill of Rollover slidelet area

Hi, In my e-learning project with Captivate 2019 I am using Rollover Captions and Rollover Slidelet. For the Rollover Caption I adjusted the color of the fill. When the user hovers over the rollover area, this area changes to a light red and a text appears. I tried to adjust the Rollover Slidelet as well, but so far, I could not find how to do this. Is it with Rollover Slidelets only possible to show a stroke for the rollover area […]

Button Selection – Grey and remove option

I have created multiple “jump to” buttons on one slide. The intent is to have them jump to the appropriate slide, then jump back to the original slide and the button they selected be grey’d out and no longer available to click. I have created a button for each option and a grey button to go over the original button. The following advanced action and assigned it to the slide, but the grey button doesn’t display. What am I missing?

Branch aware quiz not working as expected.

Hello everyone, Using Captivate 2019 Does a branch aware quiz only grade a single linear path through your course? I have eight branches jumping off of one slide. At the end of each branch I allow the user to: A ) Go to the quiz results slide B ) Jump back to the branching slide and do another branch. My project seems to only be grading the last branch that was went through and forgets about the first branch that was […]

Returning to last visited page

Hi Never send return data: If the box is unchecked, it returns the user inside a started quiz, to solve this issue we check the box, so the user will start from the beginning.  But users should be able to return to where they last visited in the course itself, how can this be solved? CP2019 TIA Robi
