What are eLearning Devs and IDs reading?

Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from.  I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Multiple Failure messages for Drag&Drop KC slide

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action.  I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]

Display variables value in HTLM5

Hi, any help will be wonderful – I am creating a module with some calculation for some medications – beacuse they are different concentrations each answer will create a value assign to a variable. that value will later be use in the scenario… so I am doing some testing pages but I can get the variables to work. When I tested as preview in the computer it works without an issue but when I publish in htlm5 – the score […]

Button states

Hi I have created a button from a shape. When I preview it, the Down state is in the same position as the button, but when I publish the project, the Down state moves up and to the right of the original button. I have tried everything I can to fix this. Any suggestions. See attached image. thanks Gabrielle

In Captivate 8, how do I create a click box containing text that will make a text box appear when the user clicks it?

I’m pretty sure I’ve done this before, but I can’t remember how. The screen contains five choices (clickable text boxes). The learner clicks one, and a box appears with text related to the clicked box. There is no wrong or right selection, and the user can stick around on the screen clicking and reading for as long as he/she wants. Thanks in advance.

Playbar on embedded videos

Hi I have inserted some videos into a Captivate project and used the CoronaSkin3 as a playbar. However, the feedback I have received is to move the playbar below the video as it covers the bottom of the video. Is it possible to do this? thanks

Quiz Question with Dynamic Variables

This was a proof of concept sample I created to demonstrate how a course could be created to have dynamic questions that will change upon accessing the content each time.

The questions require the user to perform calculations based on system variables that are random, but still within assigned number ranges.

The sample uses a combination of advanced actions and JavaScript to execute the desired result.

Changing all states of an object at once

Hi , Is there a way to change all states of an object at once?  Say I have an object with a text box or a border.  Is there a way change one of these aspects on all the states?

What I should do first?

I’m new in Adobe Captivate and also have no idea how to create an eLearning and we have many ppt that need to convert to eLearning modules. What I should do first  to create an eLearning? Should I need to learn first the Adobe Captivate 2017? What is the step by step basis to create an eLearning?

Multiple Layers not visible

Hello, while having used Captivate for a while now, I feel I am still a novice, and there are some advanced functions that I still have not mastered – and that is my current situation, so please excuse the lack of correct terminology as I try to explain my problem. A contractor has built our module for us, and provided the file so I can edit and keep it current, but with this particular slide, there is a menu with […]
