Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
Some projects may require the use of a menu slide. This slide also may contain audio and buttons that allows the user to jump from the menu slide to another section and back. Issue: The user navigates back to the menu slide and the audio replays. If you do not want the audio replay on return, below is a tip that may resolve this issue. In Advanced Actions Variables Create a new User variable (Example: audioOneplay) with a Value of […]
Hi, I would like some assistance on creating a Learning Interaction, with voice overs. How can I do that? I was able to add the learning interaction ‘Accordion’, however, I am unable to add audio to the interaction. Need some insights on how can we do it. Regards Akhil Palta
In this video, I unbox my new Samsung Gear 360. I previously reviewed the Insta360 Air but decided to send that back to the seller. I read the specs and reviews of the Gear 360 and while I acknowledge that this is not the best VR camera around, it’s certainly an improvement over the Insta360 and perhaps will be a nice compromise of quality and price.
I can’t upload my showcase captivate html5 output in adobe elearning community. I have attched screenshot below.
In this video tutorial, I show you how you can add a second slide audio track to each slide of your Adobe Captivate eLearning project. I also show you a bonus method to bring in additional audio attached to slide objects as well. Use your imagination to figure out how these two tricks can help you.
In this blog, you’ll learn how to make generic characters that come with Captivate into characters that represent your specific company or organization. With some basic photo editing skills and a hack that I’ll show you, it’s easy to get the look you want.
Yesterday, my creative cloud would not load. After 2 hours of technical support from Adobe, creative cloud was fixed. Unfortunately, the fixed was to uninstall all Adobe products, and then re-installing the products. So I had to install CP 2017 and CP 9. Support was not aware that they deleted CP, and I was under the assumption that only the cloud products were erased. Be careful to verify with support about what software they will be removing when they want […]
I opened a responsive project and wanted to create a sort of ‘thing-link’ that will basically allow the viewer to hover over an item in a single slide-image and receive either a link to another page, action to move on to another slide, text description, or audio. I thought rollover objects would be the best way to do this, but for some reason they are greyed out from my list of options. Any idea why? I thought of also using […]
The measurement of effectiveness of online training is a hot topic right now. In this article, I outline how you can use the Kirkpatrick’s model of training evaluation to measure training effectiveness, its impact, and the ROI of eLearning. How To Determine The ROI Of eLearning The measurement of ROI of eLearning needs an integrated approach that should begin during the Training Needs Analysis or TNA phase and should successively build up right up to the determination of its impact […]
Query is that Can we create a Question Bank of 100 Question&Answer? If we can, then can Captivate Randomly select 25 Questions out of 100 and Display at the time of Test taken by the participant who is appearing for the test.
I have developed one of the course which is 90 screens course including quiz as well and this is completely customized project. When I am publishing this course it takes too much time to load the pages, some times audios are not playing, some time next button is not working. Publishing settings are: Scorm 2004, 3rd edition, and only HTML output. So is there any solution on this. Looking forward for help. Thank you.
