Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]
Hi, Can someone recommend JavaScript, HTML and CSS books for beginners that would be a best fit for Adobe Captivate? I keep researching but do not find anything in particular. However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]

My first Captivate Project! I don’t feel I have a lot to contribute – most of the blogs featured here are written by eLearning professionals or Adobe Evangelists whereas I am a total beginner. The following is my first experience using Captivate:- I didn’t have a clue where to start but I had a deadline – approximately 3 weeks and no prior knowledge (not even PowerPoint)! Pre-production I created a storyboard for the workshop including all the elements and the […]
Hello: Just wondering if there is a fade option for effects in Captivate 2017? I have it setup and working for page entry but can’t see it as an effect in the numerous effect options available (e.g. fly-in). I use fade for text boxes extensively in PowerPoint and would really like the same look in Captivate2017. Am I missing it, or is it not available as an effect? Thanks!
I would just like to say a big THANK YOU to the eLearning community. I have been using Adobe software for longer than I care to remember but I am a total newbie when it comes to eLearning software/Captivate. I was recently tasked with creating an online workshop to introduce over 1000 students to our services and resources – eek! I really didn’t know where to start, but with the help of the Adobe eLearning community, especially Paul Wilson and […]

I keep getting “an unexpected error has occurred” when I try to sign up for the summit and Captivate certification class. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there an alternate way to sign up? I can not get connected to the right person via the customer support line.
I am able to add the HTML5 Captivate project to SharePoint and access the .aspx file mentioned in this post. But once I click it, it opens to a webpage, but I get a loading icon below. The page has been open for several minutes and I still have not see the project. What could I be doing wrong? Is the aspx file not supported on SharePoint Online? Thanks in advance for help, suggestions, and advice.
Hello, I’ve created my first captivate project! Yay! and now it is time to share with my team (who does not have Captivate) to review. I published as SWF/HMTL5 and was able to view it on the web using the “multiscreen.html” file in the project’s folder. However, it does not show any of the interactions that I included in the project. I read a previous post that discusses how to include the project on a SharePoint site, but I’m still […]
