Let us take a deep breath first! If we have overused our superlatives in describing any previous contests on this forum, we will like to take it back, and place it here, as what we have witness in these last few weeks on elearning.adobe.com/projects page was nothing short of a phenomenon. Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]
Hi, Can someone recommend JavaScript, HTML and CSS books for beginners that would be a best fit for Adobe Captivate? I keep researching but do not find anything in particular. However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
Does anyone use DW for building web based training courses? I am having a lot of issues with Captivate 2017 and 508/JAWs issues not working. I am wondering if working with DW would be easier as you can control the coding more than you can in Captivate. Any opinions? Thank you, Carol
On mobile device preview (galaxy s6, iphone, pixel, except ipad and desktop), the project and Captivate crashes at 50% during compiling asset progress bar and the error window appears. I hide some slides and find that it starts crashing after showing slide 9 and on.

This is the second tutorial on Shape Tween. In this lesson. you’ll see how to break text apart and change a geometric shape into a letter. There’s also a section where we review how to set the stage or canvas to transparent. Finally this tutorial will step you through the packaging process so you can bring the animation into Captivate.
This is an introduction on how to create a Shape Tween in Adobe Animate CC. The Shape Tween animation is placed inside a movie clip. The movie clip is then animated on the main timeline. This tutorial does not show you how to import this animation into Captivate. However, a previous video tutorial as well as a written tutorial I did has that information. The goal of this tutorial is to get your mind thinking about animation using Shape Tweens.
This tutorial will show you how to package an Adobe Animate CC project into an OAM file. The OAM file can then be imported into Captivate. After this is done, the tutorial will step back to Animate to make the background transparent. Once the transparent background is in place, the Animate project file is repackaged and imported into the Captivate file.
Very new to Captivate and have a brand new LMS that is not the best. So if I want to use learning interactions but our LMS is telling us to export as a MP4 file, I lose the learning interactions, correct? Basically I need a crash course in exporting and what the differences are. I previously had a Senior Learning Specialist who was a genius at captivate, StoryLine and much more, who got us up and running in our 1st […]
Need a method to keep a student on the same slide until they have completed all topics on the Process Circle Widget.
In this video tutorial, I show you part of the process for publishing your Adobe Captivate project as an iOS or Android app using the Adobe PhoneGap features available to you. While the Captivate publish to PhoneGap process is relatively easy, there are some additional steps and costs associated with getting your app up and running with iOS and Android. Here are some links to online documentation that may help you.
Hello, Does anyone know how to remove the black line from my video below (shown by the arrows)? It isn’t on the exported video, only when it is exported in captivate.
