What are eLearning Devs and IDs reading?

Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from.  I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

Multiple Failure messages for Drag&Drop KC slide

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. In this article the described solution is […]

Delivering for Review

I have a huge Captivate Project in various languages.  I’m trying to have the individual language reviewers review just for translation accuracy.  I’ve been sending them out via EXE. and some have difficulty opening.  I want to export the slides, or print them so they look as close to PowerPoints as possible with out all the details, so that they can review.  Thoughts?

Character assets not showing up for 2017

Hi. I’m an enterprise user of captivate 2017. As of this month, my Assets button stopped working in captivate. I reinstalled the assets tool per instructions on this board, and thought all was well. But when I go to download characters and other assets, they don’t show up in my assets folder and the ones in my directories are unreadable with any program. What is going on here? Grateful for anyone’s advice.

Text Entry Box in HTML5 browser – Can’t change the text after clicking the submit button

I managed to get this file working. Not really sure what real issue was or what finally resolved it. I removed a highlight box from the slide and replaced it with a filled shape box which I placed behind the text entry box. I changed a number of the text entry settings back and forth and suddenly it started working. In the end, I was able to keep the Submit button and the shortcut key for the Text Entry box and keep on lost focus enabled for the text box. All is good now.
