Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
If you’re a fan of Adobe Captivate Prime, you may be aware of the new social learning features that were just released. My favorite new feature has to be the discussion boards, which allow groups of learners to share web based and user generated content easily. You can find out more in the below video. (Videos on the other new features can be found here.) Social learning is an important developing aspect of the learning technology industry. So much of […]
When you want the benefits of both instructor-led-training and eLearning, you have to balance their proportions. In what ways can JIT facilitate this so that you can offer ongoing support to your remote workforce?
To apply blended techniques to your corporate training, you need an LMS to support your chosen tactics. Once you have that in the bag, how exactly will you facilitate blending?
This release of Adobe Captivate Prime (LMS) provides solutions for learners to share materials that they discover online, to share their own, user generated content – via videos, audio recordings, postings, polls & more – and it provides the tools to create those user generated contributions. It provides an architecture to align those postings to skills / competencies within your organizational framework and it delivers a solution for the moderation problem – how do you ensure that posts are relevant, true and appropriate, that leverages the skill experts you already have in your organization. People who share content are incentivized to do so with gamification points, and people who review / approve posts are similarly incentivized.
I saw some people asking how the Adobe Captivate Specialist Certification is verified so I wrote up this blog post to answer their question.
Being well versed on a topic is one thing. But being able to apply it in a practical setting is another matter altogether. In this article, I’ll share tips to measure eLearning effectiveness in the real world by using an LMS with xAPI.
Hi! Is there any way to set hotspots in VR projects to display text until the next hotspot is clicked? I have no idea how long it will take a learner to read my text, so I don’t want to simply set a guess for the time duration. I’d like the text to remain visible until the learner either clicks the next hotspot or clicks outside the hotspot. Thanks!
Learning takes many forms, and an LMS with xAPI allows you to track every step of the process. From informal online training activities to structured simulations and scenarios. But what other benefits can Experience API bring to your organization’s bottom line?
Can anyone provide insight as to how to acquire the video assets (StoryBlock) from the Free Elearning Assets tab? No download button present, but it does state that I need to download before I can rate or review. I also don’t see an option for purchasing these assets on the description page either. Thank you
I’m using Adobe Captivate with triple 4K screens. The UI is extremely small and menus are difficult to read. Is there a way to scale the UI?
You can localize the Table of Content by enditing the CPM.js file in the the published output.
Where to design the different layouts to use for a template?
