Learning to use JavaScript can allow you to make projects that offer something with just a little more polish than the next developer. Here is a simple example of a subtle difference between using JavaScript vs native Captivate functionality.
I often see articles, blog posts, or webinars entitled something like Storyline versus Captivate or How the Top 5 Authoring Tools Stack Up, or some other comparable title. I generally avoid this conversation because to me there are so many variables that there is never one defining thing that makes software A better than Software B. Also much of this debate is subjective since what I think is important may not be what you think is essential.
You Using Captivate 2017 – I imported a PowerPoint with Animations, and now have added audio voice-over, but when I publish the project as HTML5 – for some reason I’m losing the PowerPoint animations. How can I fix this? Why would audio have effected this?

Due to recent changes in Adobe’s data protection policies, we had switched the privacy settings to Private. You can, however, switch it back to the previous state.
