What are eLearning Devs and IDs reading?

Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from.  I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Filmstrip and Master slide view

Hello, I just upgraded to captivate 2019 from captivate 9. In captivate 9 I was able to have film strip, master slide and object state all on the left hand side of my project. And also be able to drag each one along with my timeline. So far in 2019 I have not figured out how to do this. Every time I click on master side and film strip, they just switch places, so its either one or the other […]

A Custom Accessible Quiz

This showcase is similar to a custom, accessible quiz I recently developed for a client. I used custom and shared actions along with variables and smart shapes to mimic the functionality of radio buttons and checkboxes with a custom look and feel.
Although this short course contains some helpful tips, it is not a comprehensive guide to implementing accessibility in Adobe Captivate 2019.

Captivate Video Capabilities

Is Captivate able to produce a slide where video is playing in the foreground and slide information is playing behind or to the side of the video? What we are thinking is to green screen a speaker talking in the video with information coming on and off the screen in the background. Thank you for your guidance.

Getting Rid of Extra Slides Created by Adding Audio

Hi! Does anyone know how to remove an extra slide that was attached to my original slide after adding an audio? When I attempted to add audio to my slides, and I said “Yes” to having my audio extend to match my slides, it added an extra duplicate slide that I can’t get rid of when I preview it. I can’t even click past this extra slide or do anything with it. Please help! Thanks, Pascal Wright

Baby and I Journey to Adobe Learning Summit, Las Vegas 2018

I’m CheRae, an (aspiring freelance) Instructional designer specializing in developing eLearning courses. I enjoyed the assignment so much that during […]
