Let us take a deep breath first! If we have overused our superlatives in describing any previous contests on this forum, we will like to take it back, and place it here, as what we have witness in these last few weeks on elearning.adobe.com/projects page was nothing short of a phenomenon. Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]
Hi, Can someone recommend JavaScript, HTML and CSS books for beginners that would be a best fit for Adobe Captivate? I keep researching but do not find anything in particular. However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

Intro This article is written as an answer to a question on the forums: Drag&Drop with Advanced Action For quiz slides it is possible to show different Failure messages based on the attempt number. That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
Hello! I’m new to Captivate. I created a few content slides and a video demo. When I preview my project of 5 slides, it’s not previewing the video. How can the content slides as well as the video demo be viewed as a single project? Thank you! Holly
Sometimes Adobe will improve features in new versions of Adobe Captivate without listing them as a feature improvement. To my surprise, this was the case in Captivate 2017 with the submit all feature. Because I don’t always use the submit all feature, I was unaware of this improvement covered in the video tutorial until now with Captivate 2019!
I’m trying to use Web Objects in my current Captivate project (Captivate 2019). Some webpages (such as a google drive doc) have no problem loading, while others (such as a slack channel) refuse to load when being previewed (in browser). They appear find when working with them in Captivate. I can’t find any details on why this is the case–any help is much appreciated!
The Adobe Captivate Prime LMS pairs well with Adobe Connect to implement a variety of training content. This KB article shows you how to configure Adobe Connect with the LMS.

I am attempting to view my responsive project, but it does not generate a QR code for me to preview the project. I have also tried to publish the project and when I open the html file in the zip folder, it is blank. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?
When creating a Responsive Project, do you need to create the navigation buttons on the slides in Captivate, or would the buttons be placed on the Prime Learning Management System? I’m having trouble when I add the button in the Responsive Project fluid box – it will size according to the box and I cannot resize it.
Keeping Your Software Knowledge Current As a learning and development professional, it is wise to keep your level of knowledge up to date, and that applies to your software training as well. Many professionals get stuck in a rut, believing they can not gain any further usage from the software or afraid to update their software to the current release. Not only is it good practice to ensure that you are constantly learning what your software can do right now, […]
I posted a blog about wishing there were more people doing “work out loud” type projects. I know that Adobe Live is doing that really well with Adobe XD challenges and some other design work, I’m involved with the Training, Learning, and Development Community that brings people in to discuss what they’re working on periodically, and I know that Mel Milloway has recently done a great series on using Adobe XD on YouTube, but I’m wondering if there are others […]
Hi everybody. I’m creating an exam in Adobe Captivate 2019. There’s 40 random questions choosen into a 106 question bank. Each question is noted and give 10 points. The user must have 80% to pass the exam. The fact is when we answer the quiz with the correct answers, sometimes we have 390/400, or 97.5%. Where’s the problem? I checked every question and they all are noted and have 10 points allowed to them. Something else: all the questions must […]
