Big Sur (macOS 11) update for Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is here!
Greetings all. I am always looking for resources and things to learn from. I have read some articles recommending books and unfortunately some that seem really interesting I haven’t been able to find, but I will continue to look. Thought I would pose the question here. What are some good resources that you recommend? They don’t have to specifically be direct to eLearning or Instructional Design, but they obviously can. But if there is something that relates and you feel […]

However, if anyone can recommend any books that were of great help to you and Captivate, let me know! Currently, I have a few in my Amazon cart but just not sure which would be good. Plan on also heading to a Barnes and Nobles this weekend and see what’s […]

That functionality is not available for Drag&Drop slides. As you can read in the thread, another user posted a solution using the Object actions which are executed after each drag action. I posted some comments about the limitations of that solution. In this article the described solution is […]
If you have been in the workforce even a few years, you may have noticed that people graduating with the same degree as you already have skills you did not learn. The pace of change in skills, regardless of the line of work, is so rapid today that workers must constantly retrain and upskill to make sure they stay at the top of their game. The “half-life of skills,” which measures how long skills are relevant in the workforce, is […]
I made this video for my eLearning developer audience but PowerToys for Windows 10 is such a great user interface improvement, anyone can take advantage of them. Remember TweakUI? Kind of like that.
According to a survey by the Brandon Hall Group, Mobile Learning now features among the top three business development priorities for companies and ranks only behind the need for seamless business alignment and improved data mining. Loved by learners for the flexibility and control it offers, Mobile Learning is now the dominant mode for online training delivery. Its widespread adoption (across varied corporate trainings across different industry verticals) is reflected in the fact that we now use the terms eLearning […]
Did you know that you can seem to be broadcasting your Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom camera feed from anywhere you want? Hosting, presenting or broadcasting from a home office can appear to be as professional as a studio production even on a small budget with a little creativity. Or maybe, more humbly, you just want to camouflage the camera background while hosting from a temporary work space; starting with the latter however, you may find yourself quickly adept enough to […]

My Captivate files have been timing out when saving, this could be a network connection issue, the issue is when I go attempt to open the file again, it states it is already open and I have to get IT to open it back up. Anyone else having this issue and is there a way to recover?
Has anyone experienced missing fonts in Captivate 2019 but they are in your system and you can access/use them in other applications? I have a project that uses Helvetica Regular but it’s not located in the Helvetica dropdown list (only Light, Light Oblique, Oblique, Bold, and Bold Oblique are). Does anyone have any advice to bring this font back in the list or why it’s not there in the first place? Thanks.
Hello from Chicago! When I preview a project, any project, Captivate generates files titled ” Audio_xxxxx.stp” . These files are stored in the project Cache. The issue is that ALL these .stp files include a blank space preceding the word “Audio” thus rendering the file name invalid. This invalid file name is causing havoc with my company’s OneDrive and stops OneDrive from syncing until I manually delete these .stp files from the project cache. Some projects generate well over 100 […]
